Sacramento, CA – Today, River Park resident and former Sacramento City Planning and Design Commissioner Phil Pluckebaum launches his campaign for Sacramento City Council District 4, promising to bring serious solutions to our city’s problems.
In announcing his candidacy, Phil said, “Sacramento has many challenges that need leadership from someone ready to work with all stakeholders to implement realistic policies with true accountability. Our communities need more housing, approaches to crime that put the safety of our citizens first, and a focus on ensuring that city services like street cleaning, parks, and utilities are beneficial for all residents. I’m running for City Council to ensure the communities of East Sacramento, Alder Grove, Marina Vista, Downtown, Midtown, Broadway, and River Park have a representative working to solve these crucial issues.”
A long time City of Sacramento resident, Phil just finished serving 8 years on the Planning and Design Commission. He has been involved in many local civic organizations and is an active volunteer in the community. In his day job, Phil works as a project manager for UC Davis Health.
Phil has already racked up endorsements across the district and the greater Sacramento area, including:
